The GFT614 is a high-speed 1 to 4 line 50 Ω driver module which provides signal distribution in a compact, standalone module designed to drive high-frequency clocks and high-speed logic across long distances. With the ability to drive up to 100 feet of 50 Ω coaxial cable at clock rates exceeding 150 MHz, it ensures signal integrity and amplitude are maintained for multiple downstream devices without the degradation typically seen in long cable runs.
Engineers can tailor the module to a variety of signal types via front-panel switches, allowing for selectable input thresholds of +1 V, 0 V, or -1 V. This flexibility means the GFT614 can be driven directly by TTL/CMOS logic, open collector outputs, or even AC-coupled signals. To further ensure precision timing, the device maintains an ultra-low RMS jitter of less than 2 ps from input to output.
Each of the four synchronized outputs features 1 ns typical rise and fall times and selectable polarity, allowing for normal or inverted signal distribution depending on your logic requirements. A dedicated gate input is also included, providing a simple external method to enable or disable the module during sensitive experimental sequences.
Housed in a rugged, compact enclosure and powered by a simple +5 V adapter, the GFT614 is an ideal solution for lab environments where high-speed distribution is required but rack space is at a premium.
