High-performance multi-channel timing system providing up to 100 independent delay channels with 1 ps resolution and 25 ps rms jitter.

Description:

The GFT1000 provides high-precision pulse distribution across massive experimental areas, delivering up to 100 independent delay channels synchronized over thousands of square meters. By utilizing an optical network to link a Master Oscillator with multiple Slave units, this system eliminates the electrical interference and signal degradation common in large-scale timing distributions for accelerators and high-energy laser facilities.

Engineered for ultimate flexibility and scalability, the system features a 10-second delay range with 1 ps resolution. Each channel is independently programmable for pulse width, polarity, and amplitude up to 6 V, allowing engineers to tailor triggers to specific diagnostic or equipment needs across different physical locations.

With a rms channel-to-channel jitter of 15 ps, the GFT1000 ensures that complex, multi-point systems remain perfectly in sync. The system is easily managed via a web-based Ethernet interface or integrated into larger control frameworks like LabVIEW, EPICS, and Tango, providing seamless remote operation for geographically dispersed hardware.

Designed to grow with your project, the architecture supports expansion up to 4000 channels, the number of areas up to 256, and offers high-voltage output options up to 50 V to drive specialized physical loads or long cable runs without loss of signal integrity.
