The GFT1604 is a high-performance Mini Pulse and Delay Generator that packs the capabilities of a full-scale lab instrument into an ultra-compact, portable form factor. Featuring four independent delay channels—with an option to expand to eight—it offers 100 ps delay resolution and a range of up to 100 seconds. For high-precision applications, optional upgrades can enhance resolution to 1 ps with channel-to-channel jitter as low as 4 ps RMS, ensuring maximum stability for time-sensitive experiments.
Engineers can independently control pulse width, polarity, and amplitude on every output, with standard SMB outputs delivering up to 5 V into 50 Ω. To accommodate diverse hardware requirements, the unit offers flexible output options ranging from LVDS levels to 50 V pulses. The generator is highly versatile, supporting internal synchronization through three programmable timers (up to 50 MHz), external triggering with gate control, and external clocking up to 240 MHz for seamless integration into larger system architectures.
Control is streamlined through USB or Ethernet interfaces, and the included ‘Real Time Chart View’ software allows for precise visual monitoring of all timing sequences on a PC. Weighing less than 1 kg and drawing minimal power, the GFT1604 is an ideal choice for laser timing, automated test equipment, and complex diagnostic synchronization where space and precision are at a premium.
