Description:

The GFT2044 is a high-performance clock distribution system designed to provide precise synchronization for up to four A/D and D/A systems or arbitrary waveform generators. Each of its four synchronized onboard channels features an independent frequency synthesizer, allowing engineers to control output clocks up to 4 GHz with ultra-low jitter and superior phase noise performance.

This instrument is engineered for demanding multichannel high-speed digitizer systems where timing accuracy is critical. By utilizing an internal 100 MHz reference clock or an external source, the GFT2044 maintains exceptional stability and allows for programmable phase adjustments in increments as fine as 10 fs. This level of granular control ensures that complex timing architectures remain perfectly aligned across all connected devices.

Integration into existing lab environments is seamless thanks to its compact 1U rackmount housing and intuitive remote management. Users can easily adjust parameters, such as the independently programmable output levels from -4 dBm to +5 dBm, directly through a standard web browser without the need for additional software installation.

Key technical specifications include a frequency range of 1 GHz to 4 GHz, channel-to-channel jitter of 1 ps RMS, phase noise of -155 dBc/Hz at 1 kHz offset, and four additional GPIO lines for communicating with external equipment. This combination of high-frequency range and precision makes it an ideal timing backbone for advanced research and development projects.
